Before it happens? Yes, through our monitoring system Atlantis Services can watch all parts of products and the hardware that it runs on. If we see network congestion, a failing/failed disk drive, our monitoring system will send an e-mail and open a ticket on your behalf.
How does it do that? There are computer standards that are available to allow the monitoring of just about anything attached both internally and externally to the monitoring machine.
What are those standards? Mainly, the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI). These protocols are lightweight and any machine that can run them (computers, network hardware, printers, etc) can be securely connected to and information can be sent to the monitoring server and graphs can be generated to show what is going on in your network and even if your CPU is overheating.
It should be noted that if there is additional non-Atlantis equipment that you wish monitored, that is an extra cost.
